Conservative Councillors in Rochdale have called for the public consultation period for the draft proposal of the Greater Manchester Spatial Framework document to be extended to allow more people to be able to take part in the consultation process.
The Conservative group have raised concerns about the timing of the consultation which is due to end on 23rd December 2016, giving people a limited window at a very busy time of year. Members pointed out that this was one of the most important public consultations in a generation, one which could impact upon many aspects of our borough for over two decades and have called for the period during which the public can comment on the proposals to be extended into the new year.
