The Heywood and Middleton Conservative Association are pleased to announce that they have successfully held their seats in both Norden and Bamford wards, in the 2015 Local Elections. Councillors Pat Sullivan (Bamford) and Peter Winkler (Norden) retained their seats with comfortable majorities of 450 in Bamford and 1205 in Norden.
Elsewhere thewre was sad news at the loss of Andrew Neilson in Healey, but with Rina Paloucci elected in Wardle and West Littleborough and Ann Stott re-elected in Littleborough Lakeside Conservatives still hold 10 seats on Rochdale Council.
Leader of the Conservative Party, Ashley Dearnley said: “I am delighted with our wins and especially that Rina won so well. She will be an asset to the party and to the council. I am very sad to lose Andrew, he was an excellent councillor and a big loss to the group. Unfortunately Healey has lost a councillor who works extremely hard for them, fulfilling his duties for all the right reasons. He was an asset that will be greatly missed.”
